Two Clifton Gunderson Nominees Achieve Finalist Status in the 2008 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® Awards
INDIANAPOLIS – (May 30, 2008) Clifton Gunderson LLP, Midwest regional sponsor of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® 2008 Awards (EOY) Program is proud to announce that Indianapolis Client Service Center local program nominees DEFENDER Direct, Inc. and Centaur LLC have been named Midwest regional program finalists. Representatives from each company will travel to Chicago in June to compete against finalists from other markets in various categories including Manufacturing, Energy, High Tech/Medical, Retail/Wholesale, Service, Private Equity and Lifetime Achievement.
Midwest regional winners will be announced on June 26, 2008 at a Gala Event and Awards Ceremony and will then further advance to compete in the National Program held in November in Palm Springs, California. Overall, the EOY program awards are presented in 26 regions throughout the United States and more than 45 countries internationally.

This year marks the 22nd year that Ernst & Young LLP has recognized and rewarded outstanding entrepreneurs. The program is designed to honor those entrepreneurs whose ingenuity, hard work and innovation have created successful and growing businesses. Finalists were selected by a panel of independent judges made up of prominent leaders in metropolitan business communities throughout Indiana, Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin.
